You're trusting Serenia with the most sensitive things in your life — and with the moment your family will need them most. We've spent two years on the cryptography, the legal process, and the human safeguards so that trust isn't a leap.

End-to-end encryption

Your vault is encrypted on your phone with a key only you hold. Even Serenia engineers cannot read what you put inside.

Zero-knowledge architecture

We store ciphertext, not contents. If our servers were stolen tomorrow, the thieves would inherit gibberish.

A trustee process, not a button

No one can claim your vault by clicking a link. Your trustees confirm in person, with documents — the way an estate has always passed.

The iOS app ships in summer 2026 and Android follows about six weeks later. Waitlist members get access in waves starting in May.

Your vault doesn't depend on us being here. We've pre-funded a five-year wind-down with a third-party trustee, and your encrypted data — plus the open-source decryption tool — are escrowed with Iron Mountain. If we vanish tomorrow, your family still gets in.

A password manager is for you, while you're here. Serenia is for the people you love, after you're not. We do hold passwords — but also letters, documents, wishes, and the rules for who sees what, when. And we have a real human trustee process, not a recovery email.

Fair question. We're SOC 2 Type II certified, audited annually by Trail of Bits, and our cryptography is open source. The data on our servers is ciphertext — even if we wanted to peek, we couldn't. And our wind-down protocol means your vault outlives the company.

$8/month or $72/year for a household of up to six people. We will never sell your data, run ads, or charge your family to claim what you left them.

Your designated trustees notify Serenia and provide a death certificate. We wait a 14-day grace period (you can shorten or lengthen this), then release each item to the person you assigned, in the way you specified. Most families have everything they need within a week.
